Excel Capital Management wants its educational and product information to be accurate, clear, and current. This policy explains how readers can report a concern and how we evaluate and correct material errors.
What to include
A useful correction request identifies the exact page and passage. Please include as much of the following as possible:
- The page URL and section heading.
- The wording or data point in question.
- Why you believe it is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or outdated.
- A primary or authoritative source, when available.
- Your name and contact information if you would like a response.
How we review feedback
An editor or subject-matter contributor reviews the reported issue against the strongest available sources. Depending on the topic, that may include government publications, official forms and instructions, provider disclosures, contracts, program guidelines, or directly confirmed product information.
Commercial requests, requests to remove accurate criticism, and requests to change content solely to benefit a partner do not determine our editorial decision.
How corrections are made
Material factual errors
When a material statement is wrong, we correct it as soon as the issue can be verified. Material corrections may include a note describing what changed, especially when the error could have affected a reader’s financial decision.
Outdated information
Rates, fees, qualification standards, program availability, tax forms, and government guidance can change. When a reliable source shows that information is no longer current, we update the relevant section and the page’s last-updated date when the change is substantive.
Clarity and context
We may revise wording that is technically accurate but unclear, incomplete, or easy to misinterpret. Minor spelling, formatting, and style corrections may be made without a correction note.
Update dates
We use a last-updated date to indicate a meaningful editorial revision, not every technical or formatting adjustment. Publication and modification dates in our structured data should match the dates shown or supported by the page.
Reader feedback
We review all credible feedback, but submitting a request does not guarantee that content will be changed. Complex questions may require additional documentation or confirmation from an official source. We do not provide individual legal, tax, accounting, or credit advice through the correction process.
